Mandatory Mask Survey Results

The results of our Mandatory Mask Survey have been collected. We received over 2700 responses from the community and we want to thank everyone who took the time out to give their opinion. Here are the results:

Question 1: I am

• A business owner: 16.99%
• An employee: 57.17%
• Retired: 15.83%
• Unemployed: 10.01%

Question 2: I am in favour of mandatory mask use in public indoor spaces?

• Yes: 30.43%
• No: 61.13%
• Doesn't matter either way to me: 6.45%

Question 3: If face coverings were mandatory, would you be more or less likely to visit local businesses and other public places?

• More likely: 22.72%
• Less likely: 60.51%
• Neither - mandatory masks won't change my behaviour: 16.77%

Out of the 2778 respondents we collected 1482 comments regarding thoughts and opinions on this issue.
