Your Weekly Tune Up

Emergency Preparedness Week

This May 7-13 is Emergency Preparedness Week, an annual national event supported by Public Safety Canada and emergency management organizations throughout the country. During this time, everyone is encouraged to think about what they would do in an emergency, and take action to ensure they are prepared if disaster strikes. Having a response plan ready before an emergency occurs is an important part of occupational health and safety. A comprehensive toolkit for emergency response planning has recently been updated; this toolkit is a great resource you can use in your workplace to make sure everyone knows what to do in an emergency.
